Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing for Individuals and Families with Nature-Based and Outdoor Therapy sessions offered

My Practice

Therapy is a collaboration and it is a journey to wellness, recovery and new life. I have a holistic, comprehensive approach that integrates the mind and the body, through the perspectives of Somatic Experiencing, a type of somatic therapy, and depth therapy. Healing, in my experience, takes place in different settings. As such, I offer nature-based therapy sessions, as well as office visits.

Step One

Call or email for a FREE consultation. We’ll set a time to talk briefly to see how I can be of service to you.

Step Two

Based on our consultation, we’ll create a personal therapy plan for you (or your family) according to your needs and goals. Perhaps, you’re struggling in relationship, or facing a difficult period in your life, or you have the desire to be your best and happiest self. Whatever the case is, I can help.

Step Three

As your therapy progresses, life becomes easier and more fulfilling. Studies show both short and long-term benefits of therapy, even years afterwards. Clients apply tools and insights to their lives, improving relationships, boosting self-esteem, and reducing stress, pain and other symptoms. Therapy is powerful and life-changing.

LMFT, SEP
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #112808
Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP)

Welcome! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in Santa Barbara, California. I enjoy working with diverse clients, from adolescents, families, and adults, to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Jewish and veteran clients, on a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, relationship struggles, posttraumatic symptoms, and for self-renewal and growth. These are a few broad categories. Each person, though, is unique and unconfined by a category and by associated symptoms. My specialties are trauma recovery, somatic therapy and Soul retrieval, including nature-based therapy. I have a keen interest in dream exploration and Jungian analysis too, and when not at work, I love to explore the wild outdoors.

The Goals of Therapy

Therapy can be straightforward, refreshing and fun! Everyone goes through hard times, and this is an opportunity to bring out the best in yourself, in others, and to emerge stronger and happier on the other side.

“I am not what happened to me.
I am what I choose to become”.
